1. Who we are

Practice Commander (the "Service") is provided by Alphonso Jones ("we", "us", "our"). For the personal data described in this notice, Alphonso Jones acts as the data controller. You can reach us through the in-app Contact page for any privacy-related question or request.

2. Categories of personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password, authentication identifiers.
  • Profile and content data: team or organization name, practice schedules, drills, notes, and other content you create in the Service.
  • Support data: messages you send us, attachments, and correspondence history.
  • Usage and telemetry: pages viewed, features used, timestamps, error logs.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
  • Billing data: subscription status, plan, trial state, and transaction references. Card numbers and billing addresses are collected and stored directly by our payment provider, Paddle — we do not see or store your full payment card details.

3. How and why we use your data

  • Provide the Service — create your account, sign you in, store your schedules, run practice sessions. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Billing and subscription management — manage trials, paid plans, comp accounts, and entitlement. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Customer support — respond to your questions and resolve issues. Legal basis: legitimate interests / performance of a contract.
  • Security and fraud prevention — protect accounts, detect abuse, investigate incidents. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
  • Product improvement — understand which features are used to improve the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Service communications — trial ending reminders, billing notices, important account messages. Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
  • Legal compliance — meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. Who we share your data with

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients only as needed:

  • Paddle.com Market Limited (Merchant of Record) — handles checkout, payments, subscription billing, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks. Paddle receives your name, email, billing address, and transaction information.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — host the application, database, and file storage.
  • Email and notification providers — deliver transactional emails (account, billing, support).
  • Analytics and error-monitoring providers — help us understand usage and diagnose errors.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and tax advisers when needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example billing, tax, or fraud-prevention records) to comply with legal obligations. Backups are rotated and overwritten on a regular schedule.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the in-app Contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process personal data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect transferred data.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, and audit logging. No system can be 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to incidents promptly.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the Service. We may also use limited analytics or error-monitoring cookies to understand usage and reliability. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will break sign-in and other core features.

10. Children

The Service is intended for coaches and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
